The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care was formed as NCCNHR (National Citizens’ Coalition for Nursing Home Reform) in 1975 because of public concern about substandard care in nursing homes.

The National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) educates, equips and empowers youth sports leaders, volunteers and parents so all children can enjoy the lifelong benefits of sports.

The Statehouse was opened to legislators and the public in 1857 when the House and Senate began meeting in their respective chambers and most of the executive offices were occupied. It was completed in 1861.The Statehouse has been designated a National Historic Landmark by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
