About the event
Girls Take On Sports (GTOS) is a program designed to empower young female athletes, giving them tools to empower themselves, upgrade their confidence, as well as make connections, and build relationships with other girls that look like them. Weekly during our GTOS program, girls participate in team bonding activities, mental health practices and strategies, leadership development, as well physical activities promoting health and wellness. Monthly, peer lead projects are collectively worked on to build communication, problem solving, activism, and leadership skills, through collective group work.
